As an individual driving instructor that set out to teach people to drive in 2005 by given standard driving lessons and helping learners pass your test first time in London, I had a simple idea that caught the attention of the driver and vehicle standards agency and even called me in for a meeting to discuss my business plans and stated that my personal business plan was unquestionable, as a solo driving instructor concentrating on driving tests in London in the first month of launching Test Car 1 in March 2018 the business started growing quite rapidly, I was personally receiving phone calls from all major cities across the UK , I obviously couldn’t cover this wide area so called upon some contacts in Birmingham Manchester Liverpool Leeds to mention but a few , although I have been a driving instructor for 15+ years Test car1 is not even two years old as things stand today the 28th of July 2019, now with an extensive network of driving instructors of almost 1000 this would make us one of the biggest driving schools in the whole UK and pretty much the underdogs as nobody has hardly heard of us but we are creeping in slowly but surely with a current ranking of 4th in the UK on the worlds leading review site, to think that this company was built taking phone calls in the kitchen next to the toaster ( yes I like toast) Funny:)  I take major advice from my wife as my main business partner she has some amazing ideas as she is a people person, she recognises that so many other driving schools and instructors are copying our idea she simply comes up with brainstorms that makes us stand out against the rest.

A big issue for us to overcome was how do we be trusted to take payments with so many scammers on the Internet now days, this was a big hurdle for us, so we  approach  PayPal, now our card payment providers,  after three months of a trial period they now actually offer us a certain amount of money every month to run our company & to gain even more trust we offer other payment options and never take a full payments and always put the payments in a holding account so you are in very safe hands, to think that a born and bred Londoner is in talks with overseas companies now. & being a nationwide company is very strange to me being just a standard guy , possibly just like yourself having an idea in a random place :)

We value so many peoples opinions I’m regularly asking driving instructors & driving schools as well as friends and family what they think should change about the company & what ideas they might have, so I welcome any suggestions you might personally have, please drop us an email as this company Test Car 1 was built for the customer not for me us so please share any opinions he might have don’t be shy .

Our company has different customers, you are unique as you’re not looking for a simple driving lesson a beginner course or a crash course, you’re in a situation and it’s not very pleasant we understand this, and we are here to help you with the car and instructor or both for your driving test.

As our reviews state from hundreds of customers across the UK, our service is simple straight forward caring and trusting, but that is not enough for us and are always on the lookout on how to improve our service and have more happy customers like the ones on our Trustpilot and Google pages.
